Our Region, Our Home is a celebration of the people who make our communities stronger. Newcomers enrich the Saint John Region — enhancing our workplaces, shaping our culture, and moving the region forward. Our Region, Our Home envisions a welcoming region by sparking conversations, challenging assumptions, and fostering a sense of belonging for all. By working together, we can create more inclusive communities where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
We all play a role in welcoming newcomers to the Saint John Region. Small actions – like extending a warm welcome to a new neighbour, supporting diverse businesses in your community, or learning about different cultures – can make a big difference. There are also many community groups and organizations working to support newcomers from pre-arrival to integration who are always looking for volunteers. Explore other ways to get involved and help build a region where everyone belongs.

The Saint John Region is situated on the traditional territory of the Wolastoqiyik, Mi’Kmaq, and Peskotomuhkati Nations. This territory is covered by Peace and Friendship Treaties signed with the British Crown in the 1700s. The treaties recognized the significant and meaningful role of the Nations in this province and the country, with the intent to establish a relationship of trust and friendship.
